I love empowering and encouraging women knowing that God’s been in the details ~ always has been, always will be.
I speak with larger and smaller groups. I share antics and vulnerabilities. We giggle and we groan, but it’s not all about me. Together we honor our place in God’s great story. Together we celebrate real life, real connections, real faith.
Let’s get together for a women’s retreat! Our theme? SIGNS IN LIFE. Traffic signs will guide us.
- We’ll ENTER our place in God’s great story. We’re all uniquely called.
- We’ll GO as God’s people. We’re all uniquely equipped.
- We’ll TURN RIGHT and talk about life’s unique challenges.
- I’ll share a few TRAVEL ADVISORIES, remembering we’re all uniquely sent.
- And then we’ll EXIT, remembering every single one of us is uniquely His ~ uniquely God’s!
In addition we’ll get to know each other better with wonderful mixers, thoughtful discussions, and an eye-opening journey.
Let’s get together.
I love helping women of faith connect our delightfully ordinary stories to God’s extraordinary love and faithfulness, so we can be encouraged and empowered knowing God’s been in the details ~ always has been, always will be.
My speaking engagements include both workshops and special messages along with bigger, more candid conversations about how we can engage with our communities, how we can be leaders of faith, how we can change the discourse, change the dialog, change the tone of our discussions. I want to help us women of faith sow seeds of hope in fields of challenge, challenges we never expected, never imagined.
“Thank you, Deanna! Your storytelling and insights were such a gift to us. We are so grateful that you’ve discovered your vocation and are sharing it with others! May God continue to bless you on your journey as you bring your message to others.”
“Deanna, thank you for your heartfelt message last evening. More than one person told me that they were ‘given pause’ in your words. Blessings on your journey.”
“I think I speak for everyone there in saying that I was profoundly touched by your lovely message, encouraged to view the surprises in my life in new light. It was a wonderful enhancement to my Advent journey. Thank you, thank you, thank you for magnifying the Lord for and with us!”
“Powerful message beautifully delivered tonight. You are truly inspirational. I am focusing on Words of Loving Kindness in my daily WOLK! Thanks!”
Before my father died, he reminded me that Mom had asked me to write a book. At the time the boys were in college, and the notion of writing was unfathomable. Writers write books. By the time my boys were adults, I’d run out of excuses. I was also at that age when I could pause and reflect.
Fruit of My Spirit: Reframing Life in God’s Grace was my first publishing endeavor. My second was Signs in Life: Finding Direction in Our Travels with God. Both are collections of stories that tell of God’s love and faithfulness. Both tell of His remarkable grace and mercy.
More Inspirational Thoughts
Recently my three-year old grandson and I had a “Led Zeppelin” moment in the car. ‘Tis the season for music—not just old rock and roll oldies, but beautiful Christmas music, songs that tell of our dear Savior’s birth, songs that celebrate angels singing and anthems ringing, reindeer on the rooftops. During this time of political divisions, social isolation, and dark, dreary winter days, music connects hearts. It can even bring peace.
‘Tis the season for errands, right? Some errands may be just a quick trip to the post office and groceries. Others may be more, much more–for you–and those you’re with. Thanks to my friend, I was given a special reminder
There are times when God’s there for us so we can be there for others. There are also times when God’s there for us so we’re not there for others. Sounds surprising until you hear about my plans for a pity party last week. Yep, a pity party.
Thanks for stopping by.
