I’m a writer, speaker, and mentor to women of faith. I love helping us connect our delightfully ordinary stories to God’s extraordinary love and faithfulness, so we can be encouraged and empowered knowing God’s been in the details–always has been, always will be.
Stories Matter
I love telling stories, hearing stories, sharing stories, remembering stories, because stories matter.
You don’t need me to tell you that there are deep divisions amongst us. It’s easy to slump and think, but what can I do.
We can start by sharing our stories. We can start by listening to each other’s stories.
Stories Connect Us
Our stories connect us in big ways, in profound ways.
Without your story, I’m left with my own experiences, my own understanding of the world.
I can’t appreciate, I can’t understand your experience, your perspective, if I don’t know your story.
Which means you need to tell your story and I need to listen.
Richard Rohr, a Franciscan friar said,
“The genius of the biblical story is that, instead of simply giving us ‘seven habits for highly effective people,’ it gives us permission and even direction to take conscious ownership of our own story at every level, every part of life and experience. God will use all of this material, even the negative parts, to bring life and love.”
Life and love have given you wisdom and experience. Tell us your story.
Wisdom and experience, even the negative parts, have given you insight and perspective. Tell us your story.
Insight and perspective have fostered in you creativity and imagination. Tell us your story.
Stories matter. To all of us!
