Hi, I’m Deanna Nowadnick. I’m a writer, speaker, and contributor at Fave Lifestyles.
Gratitude?
This weekend I filmed a special video announcing my retirement from playing the violin.
For Easter my pastor asked that I record a solo for our online service. It did not go well. It was clear after watching myself play that my violin days needed to be done.
During these pandemic times, life continues to unfold in ways not expected, never imagined for all of us. In bigger ways—in the loss of income, relationships, life as we’ve known it–and in smaller ways—for me in the loss of a Sunday morning opportunity.
Change
And can I add that change is hard? Can I add that I don’t like change?
During this time of social isolation we’ve been dealing with lots of change—bigger and smaller changes. And I’m finding myself challenged in bigger and smaller ways. It’s not always pretty.
I’ve become a little more self-centered than I’d like to be, a little more inwardly focused.
Not a day has gone by when I have had to have an out-loud moment about nailcare. Really!
Life’s uncertainties and unknowns will continue. Even after we get through this pandemic.
What is certain is God’s love and faithfulness. God’s insistence on being with us in those bigger and smaller moments. God’s attention to the details of our life.
Looking inward I won’t see Him. Looking outward I will.
Remembering Kim Peterson’s VLOG for the ladies of Fave Lifestyles, today I will find one thing for which to be grateful. And then I will praise God from Whom all blessing come!
Deanna is the author of two books, Fruit of My Spirit and Signs in Life.
